About Al Ambra Ravenna
Ravenna opens with lemon, bergamot, orange, pineapple and mango. Three citrus fruits and two tropical ones: no other scent in this guide lists as many fruits at the top. The heart turns to spice and flower with ginger, cinnamon and Tunisian neroli; neroli is the oil distilled from bitter orange blossom. The base is black tea, guaiac wood, rosemary and ambroxan: a dry tea note, a smoky wood, an aromatic herb and ambroxan, the mineral, ambergris-like molecule that also appears in Black Forest and Black Forest Elixir.
The shop and the brand list exactly the same notes for Ravenna, which is not true of every Al Ambra scent. Nine of them appear in no other scent in this guide: lemon, pineapple, mango, ginger, cinnamon, neroli, black tea, guaiac wood and rosemary.
