Frequently asked questions about Al Ambra

No. This is an unofficial guide by FragranceGems B.V., a Dutch shop that sells Al Ambra perfumes in the EU. The brand does not run this site and has not approved it. The brand's own website is alambraperfumes.com.

The brand writes its name as Al Ambra. On some labels the two words stand so close together that it reads as Alambra, which is also how the address of this site is spelled. “Al Hambra” and “Alhambra” are spellings people type when searching. This guide covers only the bottles labelled Al Ambra; brands with similar-sounding names are separate companies and are not described here.

The four that FragranceGems lists: Dubai Musk, Black Forest, Black Forest Elixir and Ravenna. The brand's own range is larger. Scents the shop does not list are not described here.

No. There is no basket and no checkout. The “Go to authorized seller” button opens the Al Ambra page of the FragranceGems shop; that is where you order.

Every scent in this guide is a 50 ml bottle (1.7 fl oz). See sizes and samples.

50 ml: the label reads “50 ml 1.7 fl.oz”. The web address of the shop's page contains “100ml”, but the bottle sold there is the 50 ml one.

At our last check, on 3 October 2026, the shop listed no sample, decant or set of any Al Ambra scent.

According to the labels and the brand's own product pages, all four are extraits de parfum. On Dubai Musk and Black Forest that is printed on the front label. For Ravenna and Black Forest Elixir it comes from the brand's product pages. The shop still files Ravenna and Black Forest as eau de parfum.

An extrait de parfum contains a higher concentration of fragrance oil than an eau de parfum. It says nothing by itself about how far a scent carries.

Another perfume, not a stronger version. The two share a name and one listed note, ambroxan. See Black Forest or Black Forest Elixir.

For the four scents in this guide the brand itself names no other perfume as an inspiration, so this guide names none. Read what “inspired by” means here.

We have no measurements of our own. For Dubai Musk, Black Forest and Black Forest Elixir the brand's own product pages give 6–8 hours; for Ravenna the brand gives no figure. How long you keep noticing a scent differs from skin to skin.

From Dubai. According to the brand's own website it has been based there since 2016. For Dubai Musk, Black Forest and Black Forest Elixir its product pages give the United Arab Emirates as the country of origin; for Ravenna the page names none.
