About Al Ambra Black Forest Elixir
Elixir has the longest note list of the four scents. The shop lists the opening as aldehydes, white peach, bergamot, mandarin and orange. Aldehydes are aroma molecules that give a clean, sparkling, slightly soapy lift; the peach and the three citrus fruits sit beneath them. The heart is orange blossom, ambrette, lily of the valley, vetiver and mahonia: white flowers with ambrette, a musky seed, and vetiver, an earthy root. The base is musk, ambroxan, akigalawood, vanilla, vetiver and patchouli.
Al Ambra's own page gives a shorter pyramid. It names aldehydes, bergamot, mandarin orange and white peach at the top; orange blossom, lily of the valley and ambrette in the heart; and musk, vanilla, ambroxan, patchouli and woods in the base. Vetiver, mahonia and akigalawood appear only in the shop's list. The brand describes the result as a clean, aldehydic floral with a soft musky finish and suggests it for spring and summer.
